New York Fries Are The Champions

New York Fries regained their supremacy in the just concluded WECA Basketball League beating last year's defending champion the Balls Deep.  New York Fries also made history being unbeaten in the regular season and in the playoffs.  MVP in the regular season was awarded to Richard Boics while playoffs MVP went to Paul Marqueses, both of them from New York Fries. 3rd place was Exmonton Battalion, the team that faced Balls Deep in last year's finals.

Chris Hunter who is also a basketball enthusiast shared a short message during last Wednesday's (April 18th) awarding ceremonies.  Chris played at Jasper Place basketball team during his high school days and at MacEwan in his time in college. With the help of Mark Yanez, he made an illustration about being guilty of even the smallest sins, i.e., if a person lied, he becomes a liar, and if a person stole something, even a small item, he becomes a thief. The laws that are contained in the bible do not make a person a sinner but the law is the basis of when a person breaks God's rules.  And forgiveness alone could make a person becomes free from any sin through the one and only Jesus who made a way for everyone's forgiveness and salvation.
