2015 Pasko sa WECA
This year's program started with the introduction by the master of ceremonies about this annual tradition and welcoming the guests. It was followed by a worship song led by Mark Yanez.
The Kids' presentation on Christmas was great and each kid enjoyed the singing, dancing and reciting their portion from the acronym MERRY CHRISTMAS.
The message delivered by Pastor Randy Thompson was about LOVE and FORGIVENESS that our Saviour shared to us.
Adore Him and Himig ng Pasko were sang by Julie Ann, Jolina and Mark, and "Siya Ay Si Hesus" was sang Seasalt life group.

2015 Christmas Party Music Practice
Tonight was music practice by kids and adults for tomorrow's Christmas Party. This year's sign up reached the 200 mark and it will be a record number of guests.

4th Huddle Session - Team SANDY (Blue Team)
On Sunday, November 29th, Team SANDY attended the 4th Huddle Session. Team SANDY composed of 7 attendees. It was once again a lively discussion, from basketball league rules to "The Last Pick" short video presentation featuring Jeremy Lin. Again, encouragement, never giving up, focus, believe in yourself are life's values that were mentioned among the 2 group discussions. Community of friends helping each other was one highlight which is also the mission of Seasalt life group.

2015 Christmas Party Sign Up Starts
This year's Annual Filipino Christmas Party sign up started Sunday, November 29th and it will run for two(2) more Sundays. Around 30 individuals are already on the list, and this year, Celso and Myrna Andrade of Sunfreight Cargo has generously volunteered to donate Filipino delicacy "lechon".

2nd & 3rd Huddle Sessions
Team RG and Team MICHAEL attended the 2nd and 3rd huddle sessions respectively tonight at WECA. They were great group discussions, firstly on the upcoming basketball league rules and secondly on the video presentation "The Last Pick" featuring Jeremy Lin. Encouragement, never give up, determination, perseverance are some of the values that were brought out during the sessions. Favorite NBA and PBA players came up from each person in the room supported by reasons why they like that those players. Good defensive player, excellent shooter, outstanding leader, determined winner are some of good character traits that described those professional basketball players.

2016 WECA Basketball League - 1st Huddle Group Orientation/Briefing
Team GLENN attended the 1st Huddle Group orientation and briefing for the 2016 WECA Basketball League. The evening started with light snacks and knowing each other. A short video presentation on the life of Jeremy Lin entitled "The Last Pick" followed and a group discussion ensued. It was a good group discussion with participation from Team GLENN which will be joining this upcoming basketball league for the first time.

A Taste of Missions
WECA's "A Taste of Missions" was held on Sunday, October 18, 2015 with 16 countries represented including our very own the Philippines. This year we served "Lechon"(roasted pig), Nilupak (Mashed Cassava), Purple Yam(Ube) Cake and Pandesal. The Ube Cake and Pandesal were donated by Arnel and Ann Zabala who own the Abundance Bakery and the newly opened Manila Sweets Bakeshop. It's a been a successful event once again. The Phlippine booth favourite this year was the Ube Cake. Thanks to all the volunteers.

Awarding Ceremonies
It was around 8:00pm, Thursday, May 14, 2015 when the awarding ceremonies started for this year's basketball league attended by around 45 players and guests. Pastor Denise Kroeker, WECA's life group coordinator welcomed everybody and thanked the volunteers while Pastor Randy Thompson presented a short message. Pastor Randy shared his testimony on his changed life upon having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. He also mentioned the life of Filipino boxing champion Manny Pacquiao and how Manny was transformed into a new person when he accepted Jesus Christ into his life.

2015 WECA Basketball League Final Games
On Thursday, May 14, 2015 final games for this year's WECA basketball League were concluded. At 5:45pm, Alpha Omega faced the younger team WECA Blue. During the first half of the game, the Blues outscored their opponent but the Alphas with more energy due to more players finally triumphed over the Blues. Final score was 68 vs 62 which was only a 6-point lead. Ryan Palacpac fired a 5-three pointer with a total of 17 points.
The final game of the night was a very intense one between the defending champion Knights and New York Fries. The taller players of NYF and their agility in the court proved them to be this year's champion. Score was 68 vs 40.

2015 WECA Basketball League
This year's WECA Basketball League started February 19th with Pastor Rob Penny sharing the message about having a hero in our lives. A hero who could save us from life's destruction, no other than the Lord Jesus, the Saviour of the world.
Oath of Sportsmanship was led by Jasper Pinto. Thanks to the organizing committee especially to Jasper and Bots Aspiras, WECA, Seasalt, participating teams and especially the Pinto family at the Committee (scorer, timer, announcer). Thanks to Gideons International Canada for the new testament bibles which were distributed during the opening ceremonies and will continue to be shared to the players and the audience during the duration of the league.
Alpha Omega team of RG Barreras won over Smokin' Aces in the 1st game of the league while NYF defeated the defending champion Knights in the second game.
