2011 WECA Basketball Tournament Opening Ceremonies

Today was the start of this year's WECA Basketball Tournament with 14 teams competing. It began with a program with a welcome address and a short message from WECA Senior Pastor Glenn Patrick. Presentation of the 14 colourful teams came next, followed by the oath of sportsmanship led by AC Atinaja, last year's All Star Games MVP. Two(2) teams from Group A were selected through draw lots by Philippine Honorary Consul Esmeralda Agbulos, while former Consul Victor Cui did for Group B. Pastor Denise Kroeker thanks the volunteers and declared the tournament open. An inspirational message ws delivered by Consul Agbulos followed by the ceremonial jump ball. In Group A, the Knights galloped to victory against the Intenzity by 3 points (43 vs 40), while on the second game team South toppled the taller WECA team by 4 points (52 vs 48). All team captains are reminded to have their players wear the right uniform during games. Once again, a big thanks to all the volunteers.

2011 WECA Basketball Tournament

Opening ceremonies for this year's WECA Basketball Tournament will be on Thursday, April 7th with the program starting at 6:00pm. All teams are required to be present during the opening as first 4 playing teams will be selected by draw lots. All players are needed to be at the gym at 5:30pm for the team grouping and picture taking.

2011 Summer Picnic is July 23rd

Hawrelak Park Site# 1 has been booked for Saturday, July 23, 2011 from 11:00am-3:00pm for this year's Summer Picnic. Please wait for future announcement of picnic details.

H2O Life Group on Fridays, WECA Yellow Room

The H2O Life Group has started on Friday February 11, 2011 the DVD "Revealing the Mysteries of Heaven" by Dr. David Jeremiah. This DVD showing is a 6-week presentation and it will be on its 3rd session this coming Friday. Don't miss the opportunity to know more about heaven and the necessary preparations we should do to go there. Thanks to all who have been attending and have been very supportive through prayers and foods. This Life Group is being facilitated by John & Nora Rafio.

Thursday Basketball for 2011 Has Kicked-Off

The Thursday Basketball Group at WECA has started January 9th. Tournament details are being prepared. More teams are expected to join this year. A.C. Atinaja is this year's coordinator with the assistance from Jasper Pinto and the Pinoys@WECA Core Group.
