Alberta's Premier Danielle Smith on Saturday, May 6, 2023 declared state of emergency provincewide due to the more than 100 wildfires which forced the evacuation of 24, 000 Albertans.
Seventy-nine firefighters from Ontario and Quebec are on their way to Alberta to help.
